Another 10 hours of stitching went by fairly quickly and I have an update on the Flapping Parrot.
Before:
After:
Golden Kite patterns stitch up so quick, it's a nice break honestly, and it feels like so much progress, so quickly! Plus this is stitched on 18 count fabric, instead of my usual 25 count, which also makes a difference.
Speaking of Golden Kite, they were having a sale this weekend (it might still be on for a few more hours) of up to 75% off on select patterns. Of course a pattern that has been on my wish list since 2012 was on sale from its regular $67 down to $36. So of course, I bought it, weak-willed person that I am.
I don't think I would have normally bought it, but I have the companion piece:
and am really looking forward to stitching both together, and framing them the same way.
Here is what I bought:
Bad, bad me.
But so good.
H³ didn't complain.
Happy stitching, everyone!

Amazing progress for just 10 hours of stitching Ewa. Your new charts will look great together.

Nice progress! Those greens are just gorgeous.
Is his head on the next page?
Oooh! I didn't know about the Golden Kite sale. The ones you have, The Present and The Past, are exactly the ones I've been eyeing. But gah! I don't get paid until Friday. Decisions, decisions...
great progress and such a beautiful design that you bought.
Wow I can't believe how much you stitched in just 10 hours. That's called lightning stitching! Woooo. Love the new GK chart and how could you pass up on that bargain, you'd be crazy to. They will look amazing stitched.

Great work on your parrot.
The other two will look like oil paintings when they are done.
Cool charts and nice progress!
Lovely progress and I love the new chart you got. Those 75% off sales are really tempting, you can really get a good deal there. When I bought my first GK chart (looking forward to starting it), I picked 3 from the sale to get the additional 30% off and paid for all three charts together the same as for one of them on a regular price, so despite spending a bunch of money, I felt like making a good deal :D
