Crazy Weekend

Not much stitching happened this week, and not for lack of want. The week was busy but besides that the weekend was absolutely insane. Possibly the craziest/busiest/most social weekend I've ever experienced. The weirdest thing, however, was what happened with my house guests. I won't get into the details but basically I heard a loud crash come from the bathroom. I, naturally, ask if everything is ok. Someone dropped something, no big deal, alright let's go to that party we're going to. I get home from the party, go to the bathroom, and the entire inside of my toilet bowl is shattered. That's right. The outside is fine, but the porcelain inside, both above and below the water line, is in pieces. I have no idea how to go about creating damage like that, but damage was created. Oh and did I mention that I only have one bathroom in my apartment which now, essentially, has no working toilet?

Suffice it to say I paid my landlord a visit this morning and within an hour had a new toilet installed. But really. Really?

That was only one event in this crazy whirlwind of a weekend, but I won't get too into it. Instead, I will display my awesomely pathetic amount of stitching accomplished. I was hoping to finish page 2 by the end of this week but, obviously, it didn't work out. I also probably won't be able to finish this coming week due to Easter. But hey, it's about the journey, not the destination.

Some little progress visible, I suppose. Until next week, happy stitching!

Thanks! Yeah I hope to have a fair amount stitched by Friday as I'm leaving town that day. So really only four days of stitching for me. We'll see how much I can get done in that time!

I can see the progress!!!!!....the toilet is very bizarre though....if you ever find out how it was smashed you must share.....and I thoroughly endorse your comments about the connection between stitching and the maintenance of sanity!!

Thanks, Mrs. Dibble! Regarding the toilet, they said that it was the weight of me sitting on the toilet that broke it. Now, I'm not the tiniest girl in existence, but I can assure you that I'm nowhere NEAR toilet breaking capacity. And regarding the sanity, my job is so high stress that I really do need a release. My sanity is long gone but at least I get some joy out of stitching. Thanks for reading! :)
