First of all, I wanted to tell you all about the giveaway that Julie and Yes Dear are having. You can check it out here, and I encourage you to visit her blog as it's a great read!
We went to the garlic festival in Gilroy yesterday. It was a bit of a drive, and the admission was expensive. The food was also pricey. But it was a good experience, particularly if you enjoy garlic. We had garlic sausage, garlic adobo bowl, garlic mussels and garlic ice cream. Garlic ice cream is, actually, kind of delicious. Boyfriend had pistachio and I had pecan praline. We drove back through San Francisco where I took this:
I hope to be able to finish page 3 of College of Magical Knowledge before Iceland (fly out early in the morning of August 7th) so hopefully, my next update will be a page finish!

OMG Ewa, that's alot of Garlic. Luckily it looks like you guys were travelling by a private car otherwise there may have been people fainting that were sitting next to you on the bus!!! LOL! Very exciting about your holiday getting closer, yay for you! I hope you finish page 3 as well before you fly out. Good luck and have fun xo Alicia
Oh, what a gorgeous pic. I love suspension bridges!! Glad you enjoyed the garlic festival too. I would have loved all of that but the ice cream, maybe. Can't wait to see your next update. Hopefully, it WILL be a page finish. And thanks for reposting my giveaway on your blog. I appreciate it.
Sounds like your enjoyed a nice little trip =) I'm looking forward to see another page on CoMK, I believe in you to make it =)
Truth be told I had serious doubts about the ice cream but it turned out to be delicious! We are both food adventurers, though.
Unfortunately I have not been able to get any stitching done yet but today looks promising. Tomorrow we're heading on a day trip to San Francisco. Poor CoMK is feeling neglected :-(
Garlic icecream.... yuck! LOL!!! The last time we were in SF, years ago, we were at an outlet mall near Gilroy and could smell the garlic, hehehe. My uncle was telling us all about the festival and about the garlic ice cream.
I hope CoMK is no longer feeling neglected. It's a lovely piece, and I hope you got some good stitchy time on it!! Enjoy your trip to San Fran!!
Good luck with getting page 3 done before your trip. DH and I are hoping to get to SF next year - we will have to look at for the Garlic Festival.
Iceland certainly sounds like an exciting holiday.
