College #41 - preIHSW

For the record, wedding planning is making it really difficult to focus on... well... anything. Let's see, now I work 24 hours a week, I'm a full-time grad student, and I have a wedding to plan. Not to mention all the other stuff like general household upkeep. I have delegated grocery shopping to Handsome Helpful Fiancé (still not used to saying, fiancé, by the way) since he's better at it and manages to get everything we need while spending less money than me. So I figure that's a win for everyone.

BUT we're here for stitching. So here we go. This is what I've done on College before vacation and after, up through last night. It's still a pre-IHSW post since I haven't started stitching yet but I will settle in with my audio book for school in a bit and stitch away. I figure audio books (along with physical books) are the only way I can maintain my stitching addiction while still getting my required 50 books read for my last assignment. 1 down, 49 to go, yay!

Before:

Now:

So tonight and tomorrow I plan to hermit myself up and stitch late into the night. Or at least through 3 discs of audio book. Until then, though, I still have to clean the bathrooms, mop the floors, finish laundry, vacuum, and cook a quick dinner. I will, however, leave you with a picture of Handsome Helpful Fiancé and myself with our engagement cake made for us by his sister.

And a close up of the cake...

Tomorrow I intend to post a photoblog to my personal blog (found here) from vacation but that's too much work right now and I wanna stitch. I know you guys understand.

One last thing, Google is getting rid of Google Reader - in case you guys didn't know. I'm on a personal mission to find an adequate substitute - if you have one, let me know!

And with that, happy stitching!

Interesting cake ... Is your sister making the wedding cake too or will that be more traditional LOL.
Nice to see a picture of the Happy Couple themselves and great progress on College.

That cake is the coolest cake! I bet it was delish too!! When we first got married, it took me awhile to get used to called the bf husband! But now it just rolls off the tongue. Great progress on your College Ewa!!

As for google reader, it pisses me off as all change does, but I will be using Blog Lovin which isn't too bad.

Hugs!

Yum! What a gorgeous looking cake :)
Such lovely news the two of you being engaged - it is a wonderful time planning a wedding. Enjoy every moment of it and try not to get too stressed about things :)

I have signed up for Bloglovin. Which looks ok so far except that I can't use it with Byline on my iPad.
