Tiny Rose Garden Mandala

Lesli got the package I sent her, so I can finally show you one (of the three) mystery stitches I did during March IHSW.

Teresa Wentzler's Peacock Tapestry Ornament freebie

Her picture of it is much better, so click here to see it (and if you're curious to see what else I sent her, and of course to read her AWESOME BLOG).

I'll post the others as they are received.

I've been working on Tiny Rose Garden Mandala this rotation round and here goes.

Before:

After:

A Tiny Rose Garden Mandala by Chatelaine Designs (freebie)
Stitching on 32 count hardanger
2 threads over 2
DMC, Thread Gatherer Silk n' Colors, and Mill Hill Seed Beads

I'm liking how far I got with this. Just have to get another little rose garden done, bead it, and finish it into a pillow. WHABAM.

End of the month check-in:
1. Get back down to 135 pounds. Started the month at 144, now at 142.4. The less I have to lose the more difficult the losing is.
2. Move out of my parent's place. Sigh.
3. Get a job I actually like. Not yet.
4. Finish a few WIPs. Almost done with Tiny Rose Garden!
5. No more stash buying. I've been good!
6. Walking. 29 miles last month. 12.53 miles this month. It has been a RAINY month. On the bright side I've been going to the gym a lot more and I can now bench press 85 pounds. In December I could only do 55, so I'm pretty happy with the fact that I've lost weight, but I can lift more.

That's about it. I've been kind of down in the dumpety lately. Not feeling very bloggy but definitely feeling stitchy. Been trying to comment on as many blog posts as I can, though! I hope you are all doing well and having a wonderful weekend full of stitchy goodness.

A gorgeous finish, I love it! Your Tiny Rose Garden project is coming along beautifully too, already more than halfway done with the stitching. :)

Congrats on the weight-loss and fitness news, that's awesome! I have a cross trainer (a Gymstick Zeus 90, shiny, red and beautiful!) and have been using it to try and get myself into a better shape. I started by doing 30 minutes 2 or 3 times a week, but have now decided that starting this month I'll be doing 30 minutes every day (except when sick or seriously sore or something like that). I think I'll have to start keeping track of this and making monthly reports in my blog about on how many days I've actually managed to do those 30 minutes each month. I think it'll motivate me to keep at it and not skip the exercise unless I absolutely have to.

Your stitching looks beautiful, Ewa. Boy do I wish TW was still designing.

You and Heli are motivating me to get my butt in gear and stop putting off getting outside and walking. Dang it! ;)

Great stitching on the TW. I love the Mandals but could never do one.
Your HAED list is also amazing. Something else I could never do. I have a couple pics on my blog of my version of a HAED. lol

Girl...I'm with you on the weightloss, the further along you get the harder it definitely is!!
With the weight lifting you're doing, maybe you lost fat but gained muscle..and muscle weighs more, so in reality, you lost! (that's what I'd tell myself!)
I'm sorry to hear you're in the dumpety :( What kind of job are you looking for?

Congrats on your Weight lose - so agree, the closer you get to goal, the harder it seems.... Love the fact you keep track of your miles, you have inspired me - I am thinking these things may work better for me, if i start with more clearly defined goals, - not just walk more - but walk xx miles.

Am going to try.
