This and That

First of all I want to thank all of you who commented and gave me advice on my previous post. I've spent the weekend brooding at Boyfriend's and realized that the legal field is just Not For Me. I wouldn't do it if I wasn't getting paid and every day is an agony. If I start sobbing before work, get panic attacks, etc., it's not for me. So then what do I do? I worked as an archivist for a few years, and I loved it.  I was good at it, I enjoyed it, and it was fantastic. So let the research begin. It's time I made a life decision for myself, and no one else.

I was visiting Boyfriend this weekend and when I got home this afternoon I have goodies from 1-2-3 Stitch waiting for me. Some beads and silks for Chatelaines,  some DMC thread and something I'm SO EXCITED about: gridding wire! So I'll be implementing that soon!

Another thing is that HAED released an awesome chart: Middle Earth. Do not click that link if you're trying to resist temptation and are a giant Lord of the Rings Nerd. I made this mistake. I made the bigger mistake of showing Boyfriend. Boyfriend made puppy dog eyes but insisted that he didn't want me to spend the time or money on him. Heart  melted, I promptly purchased and kitted. Oh, gosh. On the up side, I made some decent progress on Medieval Shelf this weekend!

It's starting to come together! I didn't want to start another page of  College until I got the gridding wire but now that I have it, it'll be full steam ahead... Once I visit Boyfriend again.

Happy Stitching Everyone! 11 (working) days of my temp job left.

Great work, I've resisted the Middle earth map so far but don't know how much longer I can hold out though!

Oh, great! I am so excited for you that you found a new...(uh, my English is failing me here)...kind of job to look into! I hope this works out for you.

Your update looks great.
I would not be able to resist puppy eyes as well. So off course you had to kit it up.
Yeah! New start coming!

I used to work as a lawyer before I had my children and I have to say I was so glad when my DH said that I didn't have to go back to work. I hated it .. it was stressful to say the least, you got shouted at by clients for something that wasn't your fault .. you know how it is! I totally sympathise with you and wish you all the very best in looking for something that will leave you happy and fulfilled.

Medieval Shelf is looking good! :)

People spend a big part of their life working, so I agree with you that it's your own opinion that counts the most when looking for a career. You don't want to be miserable for the rest of your working life. So good luck with finding your own way!

And another one who couldn't resist Middle Earth!
I really tried, but after looking at it all the time I was helpless and bought that chart =)

Great start on Medieval Shelf =)

I hope you can sort that out with your job. Your happiness is important and you are no use to anyone if you have a job that tears you apart. I hope you can find something you enjoy =)

oh no!!!!! why did you have to tell me about the middle earth chart? I love LOTR, so does my family!

I know what it is to work hard for one career and then realise it really isn't for you it doesn't make you happy. Work for you so you are happy!

It great that you have another career path you can fall back on! :)

enjoy your goodies! I am stalking our postman at the moment, waiting for things to arrive. But he just isn't stopping at our house and I am getting impatient! lol

Great progress on Medieval Shelf. looking forward to seeing more!

Sarah: Thank you!

Gizzimomo: I know! I didn't know if I could hold out, with or without puppy dog eyes

Lonneke: Thanks! I'm actually excited about the new career potential. And you can't say no to puppy dog eyes.

threadbear: I'm glad you understand. I don't like stress (not many do) and I don't like high pressure. I'm counting down the days until I'm out of there, and I'm not looking back! Glad to hear you got out, too :)

Tamara: Thanks so much!

Heli: Thank you so much. I really need to start living my life for me, and not for everyone around me. That has been my downfall.

stichstichknit: Thanks! I look forward to stalking your progress ;) Are you going to start it soon? Or is it stashed?

Mangogirl: I warned you about clicking! ;)

Bec: Thanks! I stalk the postman often. My PS2 broke a few weeks ago and I only just got the new one in the mail today. YESSSSSSS!!! VIDEO GAMES!!!

I've been reading your blog for a few months now and like seeing your updates! I could not have resisted the LOTR if my hubby had wanted it - good for you! and I LOVE 123stitch, too! I have a package coming from them soon and can't wait!

Also it's great you can recognize what you do NOT enjoy doing now instead of 10 years from now...best wishes in researching your new venue!

Awww, thanks Kimberly! I know it says I have followers on the side, but I never really expected anyone to read what I have to say :) 123 ships so fast, it's always a joy to get their packages! I'll let you know how everything pans out - thanks for reading!

Hehehe, I got 2 weeks' worth of updates for being so behind on my blog reading. I'm glad to hear that you've made a decision about your career path, and you sound so happy about it that I'm ecstatic for you! :D

I think the next time bf tells you maybe you should finish something first before starting a Chat, you should show him your puppy dog eyes. ;) HAHAHA!!!
