Also, I've done some calculating and it looks like I'm going to have to do TWO Tiny Rose Garden Mandalas in order to make one pillow since the design is too small to make an actual pillow. So after I do this one I'll stitch up the next one in the lower right hand corner, then in the upper right and lower left I'll do some sort of words to thank my friend for the gift - but I haven't decided yet. The only thing I have decided is that I'll stitch it with the silk that the algerian eyelet roses are stitched in.
Without further ado, Tiny Rose Garden Mandala before:

I stitched Middle Earth (Earf!) for a while tonight just to get something different as I read Lonneke's post (on Life with Skipper) about self-imposed stitching (and life!) restrictions. I'm definitely a person who lives by rules. I make ridiculous rules about everything from stitching to life. The last time I broke those rules I met my current most amazing wonderful Boyfriend. So, thanks to Lonneke, I stitched on Middle Earth tonight just because I wanted to, even though it was against the "rules."
Go break some rules, everyone! Just don't get arrested! And I'll see you all in a few days. Thanks for reading!

Your Rose garden looks great. The blue looks wonderful.
And not to tempt you, but I am now doing some beading on Herbularius and I really, really like it! Didn't expect that.
Have fun with Boyfriend
Shame on you for tempting me with the Tiny Rose Garden. I have the chart but I can't... I can't start another... No! I won't start another. Maybe.
lovely stitching !
and it is certainly good to break a few rules now and then, just have fun !
Oh Im so jealous! I've been wanting to start a Chatelaine mandala for so long!! I don't know enough about them though...the beading scares me...as do all the different types of floss!! Give me some pointers!!
Your Rose Garden looks beautiful!
OOOOOOH, purdu, Ewa!!! Those colors are to die for.
LOL, good girl!! Remember that stitching is your hobby. Have fun with it and it's ok to bend or break the rules. ;)
It looks stunning Ewa. Good luck with College this weekend and have fun at Bf's.
Yes I'm def a rule breaker which is why I suck at sticking to goals cross stitch or otherwise.
My motto is do what you love, when you feel like it and enjoy every moment of it. So this motto does not gel well with goals and rules, but I'm really happy so go for it stunner xxoxx Alicia
Rose garden is so beautiful.Your stitching is flawless.

-missy-
The mandala looks amazing =) Great work!
Looking forward to your work on Middle Earth =)
Gorgeous progress Ewa! I hated stitching the corners too for some reason but loved the fountain and doing the algerian eyelets!! It sounds like your pillow will be amazing and your friend will love it!! Good for you for breaking the rules! I don't apply rules to my stitching, but I often feel odd when I have a piece that hasn't been worked on for awhile!
