WIPocalypse, the sixth coming

Not much stitching has been done, unfortunately, since I've been running around like crazy. Between packing up all my stuff, trucking Boyfriend's stuff here, and full on construction going on in the bathroom the house is a DISASTER and everything is covered in construction dust. Not only have I been doing moving errands but I'm also carting construction materials (today it was tile, the other day it was a bathroom vanity) back and forth because my car can basically fit anything in it.

Anyway, we have an apartment, we have a temporary place to stay, everything is set up with the movers I just have to sign the contract, and the last thing to do is finish packing and get out there! Holy Crap!

That's not what you came here for, so here's the WIPocalypse stitching.

"Tiny Rose Garden Mandala" before WIPocalypse:

Last WIPocalypse:

Now:

A Tiny Rose Garden Mandala by Chatelaine Designs (freebie)
Stitching on 32 count hardanger
2 threads over 2
DMC, Thread Gatherer Silk n' Colors, and Mill Hill Seed Beads

"Middle Earth" before WIPocalypse:

Last WIPocalypse and Now:

Middle Earth from Heaven and Earth Designs
Stitching on 25 count antique white evenweave
1 over 1 with DMC

"Greek Mandala" was not started before WIPocalypse.

Last WIPocalypse and Now:

Greek Mandala by Chatelaine Designs
Stitching on 32-count antique white Belfast
2 over 2 with DMC, various silks, petite treasure braid, delica beads, and Swarovski crystals

So that's it! I did start and finish Alessandra Adelaide's "Albero Innamorato" which wasn't on my WIPocalypse list but here it is anyway:

Most of my stitching is sadly packed up in boxes and I won't be able to get to it until between July 14 and 20. But I am taking some with me. The ones that have made it are College, Medieval Shelf, Middle Earth, and Greek Mandala. I'm taking Mario, too, but only just realized that I packed the threads for Mario in a box while packing the stitched fabric to take with me. Silly. I clearly marked every single box that contains anything stitchy-related so I can easily find it midst the chaos that will ensue.

Ridiculously handsome helpful Boyfriend has been both ridiculously handsome and helpful, especially while I've been flipping out about everything that has been going on. He didn't even bat an eyelash when I texted him frantically asking if I should buy the light colored dresser or the dark colored dresser at Ikea and whether or not he wanted matching nightstands. Good Boyfriend. Very good.

Well, everyone, that's it! We're leaving for Texas Friday. We're spending Friday night at a friend's in LA, the second night with Boyfriend's family in Tucson, and arriving in Texas Sunday evening. Keep your fingers crossed and I hope to update you all on the road trip either along the way or once we get there. Also will update if I manage to finish Tiny Rose Garden before I leave. Happy stitching, everyone!

Try to relax every now and then the weeks and months that come. Nothing so stressful as moving. Sounds like your life sure has bedn very hectic. I love your cross stitching. A lot of them are designs I could, easily pick mtself. You made an astonishing progress, even not reckoning you have been living amidst chaos. Good luck for the next weeks!

What great progress you're making on your WIPocalypse projects! I love the blue tree too. I really must add one of these designs to my Wish List.

Just a little note, Ewa. Moving is NOT a good reason for panicking. It will all work out right in the end. I hope it works out smoothly for you, but I'm sure everything will get to where it needs to be eventually. Great job on your stitching. You've made a lot of progress this month. Way to go!!! Keep up the good work. You may even have a finish or two by then end of the year. And as I understand it, you can add a WIP to your WIPacolypse list at any time. Grats on the finish!!
